The Western Front Today - Rifle House Cemetery
Rifle House Cemetery, located in the Ypres Salient and inside Ploegsteert Wood, contains 229 U.K. burials, including a 15-year-old rifleman, R. Barnett of 1st Battalion Rifle Brigade, who was killed on 19 December 1914. There is also a single Canadian burial in the cemetery.
The name of the cemetery was derived from a nearby building whose ruins remain to the present day.
